There is no difference, yet there are. It depends on some teaching, some culture. For here, spirit and soul mean the same, yet also mean different. It depends one where the word and nature is needed.
In one Shamanism teaching, spirit is what lives in the body, the soul is the spirits of the body. Lot of times seekers use soul as the spirit that lives in the body, or a spirit that is suffering is refer to as soul. Therefore, the names depend. But this is something one should not be attached to, only many egos have the need to be attached to things that are not very important.
