This is a belief in some mysticism, doesn't make it true. This as been deeply meditated on, and have not got no real knowledge of such being true of such existence, nor being possible.
For basic knowledge, one's spirit is attached to the earthly body until death. Even when one spirit journeys, one is still in the body, yet out. In order for another spirit to take over, the spirit would have to be let free from the body in death, not by choice. Even in death, it is not highly possible for the body to live again without it's true master. Nor may the new spirit be well connected to its new body, since the spirits of flesh may not be very accepting to the new spirit.
Many are finding this belief of this spirit not real, and there is no proof of such been experienced. It is more of a story telling. Before one accepts such beliefs, one needs to meditate and understand the nature of spirit and body. Never just accept something as true.
